Today is the day ! The one we look forward to every year as Pagans , Witches and Occultist as well as regular people also lol . Today we honor our Deities, Gods and Ancestors.

For some of us it’s one of the biggest days of the wheel and I’d like to share a bit about that today .

Pagans and Witches alike, like to celebrate this beloved day and night with food and libations set upon our altars and at our front doors and even with our deities. Commonly called or referred to as “ offerings”. Fruits , meats and fully plated meals are offered with a glass of wine or liquor or just water for some . There really isn’t a right or wrong way to go about this . It’s more the showing of thought .

The Dumb Supper is also a way for showing appreciation to the ancestors that walked before us and paved the way for us to continue on with our paths . This is one of the ways I personally like to show my gratitude to the ancestors . Creating a meal and inviting them to sit and dine with the family as we express that gratitude.

There’s more than one way to peel a potato though and I will not be skinning cats lol wink wink . You can also celebrate by creating a ritual specifically for you and your path . Then of course there’s the lighting of candles for the ancestors to light their way . So much can be done this day to celebrate and it’s not limited to any one way or path .

A visit to the cemetery or graveyard is another way to commune with ancestors. Or just visiting and giving time to those souls no longer with us . And they don’t have to be relatives, I’m sure any and all would appreciate a visit on today. Just remember your etiquette and your protection protocols and you’ll be just fine .
